Aplanchado

Ingredients

500 grams of Harina de trigo

50 grams of Mantequilla

1 Huevo

2 Yemas de huevo

2 cups of Azúcar impalpable

½ cup of Azúcar

2 teaspoons of Polvo de hornear

½ cup of Jugo de naranja

¼ cup of Aceite

Esencia de vainilla

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the aplanchados, start by mixing flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

Step 2 : Form a ring with this mixture and place the egg, yolks, vanilla essence, and butter in the center.

Step 3 : Combine all ingredients well.

Step 4 : Then, add the oil gradually while mixing until a homogeneous dough forms.

Step 5 : Wrap the dough in parchment paper and let it rest for about half an hour.

Step 6 : Next, roll out the dough to about 5 mm thickness and place on a greased baking sheet.

Step 7 : Cut the dough into approximately 5-centimeter squares and bake at 180°C for around 15 minutes or until golden.

Step 8 : While baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with orange juice until achieving the desired consistency.

Step 9 : Once the squares are ready, cover them with the glaze.

Step 10 : Finally, serve the cold aplanchados and enjoy their delicious flavor.
