Traditional Crab Noodles

Crab noodles, a typical Ecuadorian recipe. The noodles are cooked and mixed with a delicious crab, tomato, and spice sauce. Perfect for pasta lovers and seafood enthusiasts. A simple and tasty combination. Enjoy your meal.

The noodles are cooked in a pot with 3 liters of water and a tablespoon of salt.

Once ready, drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.

In a skillet, melt the tablespoons of butter with oil and sauté the tomatoes, garlic, and onions until transparent.

Then add the tomato paste dissolved in water, along with spices, crab, and cook for a few minutes.

The noodles are mixed with the sauce and served decorated with crab claws.

Ingredients

2 teaspoons of Cumin

3 tablespoons of Salt

3 tablespoons of Annatto oil

2 tablespoons of Oregano

4 Bay leaves

7 tablespoons of Margarine

5 tablespoons of Tomato paste

2 Peeled and crushed garlic cloves

8 Onion stalks

6 Tomatoes

4 Red onions

600 grams of Crab meat

3 liters of Water

1 kilogram of Noodle pasta

Preparation

Step 1 : Cook the noodles in a pot with 3 liters of water and a tablespoon of salt.

Step 2 : Once tender, drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.

Step 3 : In a skillet, melt the butter with oil.

Step 4 : Wash, chop, and sauté the tomatoes, garlic, and onions in the skillet with the melted butter until transparent.

Step 5 : Dissolve the tomato paste in a bit of water and add to the skillet along with oregano, cumin, salt, and bay leaves.

Step 6 : Add the crab meat to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes.

Step 7 : Then add the previously cooked noodles, stir well, and serve.

Step 8 : Finally, decorate with crab claws before serving.
