Ingredients

1 Bunch of crabs

1 Large bottle of beer

2 Ripe plantains cut into pieces

2 Unripe plantains cut into pieces

4 White onions cut into cubes

5 Sprigs of whole cilantro

½ cup of Crushed garlic cloves

½ cup of Oregano

¼ cup of Whole cumin

¼ cup of Black peppercorns

½ cup of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the crab feast, thoroughly wash the crabs with a stiff-bristled brush and ensure all are alive; discard any that are dead.

Step 2 : In a large pot with water, place the onions, cilantro, garlic, oregano, cumin, pepper, and salt.

Step 3 : Wait for the water to boil and then add the crabs one by one until they are completely covered with water.

Step 4 : Add the beer and the plantains with shells, and wait until the crabs turn red, boiling them for about 10 more minutes.

Step 5 : Then, remove the crabs from the pot and quickly pass them through cold water to tenderize the meat.

Step 6 : To serve, place the crab feast on large trays, accompanied by cooked plantains, onion sauce, fried plantains, and popcorn.
