Chicken Florentine

In a skillet, heat a little oil, add the spinach and stir for 3 minutes over medium heat.

Once ready, place them in a strainer, press with a spoon to drain the liquid, and set aside.

In the same skillet, add more oil and brown the seasoned chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Next, add chopped onion and garlic, along with water, chicken broth, cream, and ham.

Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.

Once the chicken is cooked, add Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the sauce.

Serve over the chicken with the spinach and bake until golden.

Ingredients

2 kilograms of Chicken breasts

1 Package of spinach

2 tablespoons of Vegetable oil

1 White onion

3 Garlic cloves

1.5 cup of Water

1.5 cup of Chicken broth

250 grams of Cream

1 Lemon

1 teaspoon of Lemon zest

200 grams of Smoked pork ham

150 grams of Grated parmesan cheese

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : Place a little oil in a skillet and heat; then add the spinach and stir for 3 minutes over medium heat.

Step 2 : Once the spinach is reduced, remove and place in a strainer, press with a spoon to drain the liquid, and set aside.

Step 3 : In the same skillet, add a tablespoon of oil and place seasoned chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Step 4 : Brown for 5 to 7 minutes on both sides.

Step 5 : Next, add chopped onion and garlic, followed by 1 1/4 cups of water, 1 1/4 cups of chicken broth, 1 cup of heavy cream, and 1/2 cup of chopped ham.

Step 6 : Let cook over medium or low heat for 15 minutes.

Step 7 : Once the chicken is cooked, remove and let the sauce reduce to half, approximately 10 more minutes.

Step 8 : After turning off the heat, remove the sauce from the skillet and add Parmesan cheese, a teaspoon of lemon juice, and a teaspoon of lemon zest.

Step 9 : Cut the chicken into pieces, place in a dish, add the spinach on top, and cover with the sauce.

Step 10 : Finally, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese and bake until golden.

Step 11 : Once ready, serve and enjoy.
