Ingredients

2 liters of Water

3 cups of Whole oats soaked in water

Peel and core of a pineapple

10 Cinnamon sticks

10 Sweet peppercorns

5 Cloves

300 milliliters of Panela

3 cups of Naranjilla pulp

½ teaspoon of Dried lemon verbena

Lemon peel

Preparation

Step 1 : In a large pot, place the water, pineapple peels and core, panela, cinnamon, sweet peppercorns, cloves, lemon peel, and dried lemon verbena.

Step 2 : Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.

Step 3 : Then remove from heat, strain the liquid, and pour it into a pot.

Step 4 : Blend the naranjilla pulp with the soaked oats (including the water) and add it to the strained liquid.

Step 5 : Wait until it comes to a boil.

Step 6 : Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, until the drink no longer tastes like raw oats.

Step 7 : Strain the liquid to remove any oat residue.

Step 8 : Finally, serve the hot oat drink or let it cool to serve cold.
