The Naranjillazo, an Ecuadorian beverage derived from canelazo, combines the tangy taste of naranjilla with the sweetness of panela and the aroma of cinnamon. A delicious option to enjoy on any occasion.
To prepare the Naranjillazo, mix the water with the naranjilla and panela, letting it gently boil in the pot.
Then, cook over low heat for a few minutes with the cinnamon, creating a delightful infusion.
Once ready, add a splash of aguardiente to give this drink an exquisite flavor.
Naranjillazo
Ingredients
4 cups of Water
2 cups of Naranjilla concentrate
1 ½ cup of Sugar or grated panela
8 Cinnamon sticks
¼ cup of Aguardiente
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, place the water, naranjilla concentrate, sugar or grated panela, and cinnamon, letting it boil.
Step 2 : Then, reduce the heat and cook over low heat with the pot covered for 40 minutes.
Step 3 : Once ready, remove from heat and add the aguardiente.
Step 4 : Finally, serve the Naranjillazo immediately.
