Ingredients

¼ Chicken

¼ cup of Raisins

2 cups of Raw corn flour

1 tablespoon of Butter

1 tablespoon of Lard

8 Eggs

1 tablespoon of Oil

1 Pearl onion

½ Red bell pepper

½ Green bell pepper

Onion and garlic seasoning

1 pinch of Salt

Banana leaves cut into rectangles

Kitchen twine for tying

1 pinch of Black pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, first cook the chicken adding onion and garlic seasoning, then let it cool and shred.

Step 2 : Next, cook two eggs and set aside.

Step 3 : In a bowl, beat the butter and lard with 6 egg yolks, beating well after each addition.

Step 4 : Incorporate the sifted raw corn flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Step 5 : Add the beaten egg whites folded in gently, seasoning with salt and pepper.

Step 6 : Then, place a large spoonful of the dough in the center of a rectangular banana leaf.

Step 7 : Make a hole in the center of the dough and add pieces of chicken, strips of green and red peppers, hard-boiled eggs, and raisins.

Step 8 : Wrap the leaf as if it were a gift and tie with twine to maintain its shape.

Step 9 : Finally, steam for about 45 minutes, or until the dough is firm.
