5 Tree tomatoes

2 Serrano chiles

2 tablespoons of Chopped white onion

1 tablespoon of Chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon of Lime juice

¼ cup of Oil

1 pinch of Salt

Chochos

Preparation

Step 1 : If you have fresh tree tomatoes, boil them with their skins on for 5 minutes to make peeling easier.

Step 2 : If using frozen tree tomatoes, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight, cut them in half, and scoop out the pulp with a spoon.

Step 3 : Blend the tomato pulp with the chili peppers, removing seeds and membranes to adjust the spiciness, adding water or oil to the mixture.

Step 4 : If you prefer a creamier sauce, place the mixture in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes with water, or leave it uncooked if only adding oil.

Step 5 : Add the chopped onion, lime juice, cilantro, and salt, mixing well to combine all flavors.

Step 6 : Incorporate the chochos if desired, and serve the sauce alongside your favorite dishes.
